After the bright and cheery decorations of Christmas are put away the doldrums of winer tend to set it in around my house, specially in my entry hall. Valentine orders, birthday party prep, and short day light hours zapped my creative energy to really do any Love Day decorating so things have been looking pretty sparse. Although Valentine's Day has such pretty colors and lends itself to fun kids crafts for classroom parties, I just can't get in to decorating my house for it, so there is this lull between Christmas and Spring that has really been getting me down. I am sure you know the feeling, too.

In general, I've been feeling the need to refresh our house, so I've decided to start with our entry hall. I'm feeling in the mood for something a little vintage, a little charming, but most of all something that says spring and also something that says affordable! One of my favorite places to start at the beginning of every season is World Market, just don't go hungry, because your affordable trip will soon turn otherwise with all the amazing food and treats. They have a wonderful new collection out right now, just in time for spring, called Victorian Isles that I think you are going to like as much as I do. I also think this collection is going to go great with the chairs that I have had my eye on from World Market as well.
Oh, those button, how I LOVE those button. But back to my recent shopping trip...
I saw so many lovelies at the store that are part of the new Victorian Isles collection, many of which I gave sneak peeks to on Instagram while I was shopping so make sure to follow me on IG if you have an account.
However, my entry hall table is small, and budget isn't limitless, so I had to narrow down my items to just pieces that I thought would be used for many seasons and reasons throughout our house. All the items they have offer such great details - they are so easy to fall in love with.
Enough teasing, right, you want to see what I put together? Well, we're almost there. First, I want to show you my favorite 4-step way to hang frames that requires no measuring or making 4 or 5 holes trying to get it right.
1. use a piece of painter's tape to measure the exact distance from hanger to hanger 2. place your tape on the wall where you want hang your frame, just make sure your tape is level 3. hammer your nails at the ends of the tape 4. hang your frame and enjoy
And enjoy I am doing. Every time I walk out of my office and see my spring display I fall in love a little more.
This framed magnetic board is my absolute favorite thing, ever. I love the clips that came with it and I can't wait to try to make some vintage inspired magnets to coordinate with the board. I think it sets the tone for the entire entry hall.
I've been wanting a large trophy vase like this for a while, but I've never been able to find a nice, yet affordable one. The etchings just give it that added touch of whimsy.
The details on this bird and branch frame are so enchanting!
If I take a photo of this table next week there will probably be a few more of these robin's egg nests laying around. I absolutely love them and their stunning color.
So here is my entry room table make over. It's simple and un-cluttered (which is exactly what I need in my life right now) but packed with enchanting and charming details.
