The end of the school year is finally upon us! It’s a bittersweet time for me. I am not exactly sure how well I am going to be able to balance the summer but I’m going to try my best and I am very excited not to have to wake up before 7am anymore. For now, though, I am going to put all my effort into the class ice cream party that is happening on Monday. Because the party is a collaboration I don’t have totally control on everything but what I do have control over – the bowls, spoons, and napkins – I am going to make pretty and personalized! Luckily the awesome folks at OnlineLabels.com had recently sent me a couple different types of labels to play with so whipping up this fantastic ice cream bowls was super simple!

They’re pretty cute, right, scalloped for you any everything!!

After my ridiculously cute ice cream cups came in from Polka Dot Market (she has super speedy shipping) I sat down and designed the image I wanted on my stickers and saved the file as a .jpg file.

Then I opened the Maestro Label Designer on OnlineLabels.com‘s website and simply upload my design onto their template for the type of labels I was using (these are label number 1026 in Gloss White for ink jet) and printed them out. It was honestly that simple.

Look at that lovely sheen from the glossy paper. It make my heart pitter patter!

I have actually been using OnlineLabels.com for years. I am deeply in love with their Gloss White for ink jet paper. I also love the ability to order as little or as many sheets of the labels as I want.

I just popped the labels off the backing and put them on my ice cream cups!

These scalloped oval labels would also be cute on party bags, plastic cups, envelopes…the list goes on and on. And because they are high gloss, they look super professional!!

So while there may be times this summer when I am screaming for other reasons I really hope it’s just screaming for Ice Cream because before we know it, it will be time for school to start again!

Here come’s Peter Cottontail, hoppin’ down the bunny trail, hippity hoppity, Easter’s on its way!
If you are anything like me you LOVE pouring through the numerous Pottery Barn catalogs that come in the mail any given week. They have great design, products, and most affordably, inspiration. While going through the latest Easter collection I saw the most adorable Easter Bunny Bunting. Theirs is made with cardboard covered with fabric with fluffy little tails – which you could easily do, too – but I only had 20 minutes and zero dollars to dedicate to this project so paper and cotton balls it was!

Here was the inspiration – it sells for $26 and is 8 feet long.

Source

Here is what you’ll need to recreate it yourself:

  • Various patterned and solid scrapbook paper
  • Cotton Balls
  • Twine or thin ribbon
  • Hot Glue Gun and glue
  • Cutting machine / bunny shape to trace / your own free handed bunny shape

I used my Silhouette Cameo and cut out the same shape on to 7 different sheets of paper. I cut 2 out of each pattern in case I wanted to also make an 8 foot bunting. Here is the design from the Silhouette Store that I used.

You could print out a bunny shape and use that as your template to trace and cut out or you could drawn your own free handed bunny silhouette onto cardboard and use that as your template. As long as all the bunnies are the same you’ll get the right effect.

Line up all your bunnies in the pattern you’d like use a little bit of glue on each bunny bum and attach a white cotton ball or pom.

Awww, cute little bunny bums!

To attach your bunnies to the twine/ribbon just dab a little glue on the back of the ears and carefully place your twine/ribbon through the glue.

And that’s all there is to it! I ended up spending $0 on this knock-off and about 20 minutes!

The best part is that you can tailor your Easter Bunny Bunting to any color scheme or design trend that you’d like and you can experiment with different materials, too!
So don’t just sit there HOP TO IT!! 😉

Are any of your children obsessed with Disney’s Frozen? My youngest daughter feels a deep connection with Elsa for whatever reason, so much so that she will even wear blue now (which is a pretty big deal for my pink and purple princess). We’ve pre-ordered the DVD and patiently waiting for March 18th to roll around. I know you can buy the digital version in the iTunes store now, but we’re going old fashion and waiting for the DVD release!
Until then we are gearing up to have some friends over to watch the movie and sing along and I thought that occasion could use a special front door welcome in the form of, what else, a Frozen Inspired Ribbon Wreath

I raided my ribbon collection for all different shades of aqua, light turquoise, teal, and baby blue to create this wreath. Then, using an svg file I purchased from ppbn designs, I painstakingly cut out the Snow Queen and attached her to a pin so that I could add her to the wreath.

And don’t worry Anna fans, there will be a coordinating Anna wreath coming soon, too!
As always, if you’d like to purchase your own wreath or DIY kit you can check out my shop

Now that I’ve got you singing the song I’ll give you a little time to finish…ok, are you ready to continue? Last year I was super honored to have a little part in Bill and Scout’s, aka The Guncles, daughter’s amazing 3rd birthday celebration. The theme was Doc Simone (Simore is their cute and very stylish daughter) and Jenny of Jenny Cookies styled the Doc party to set the bar for all Doc parties! With a 3 year old myself I was well aware of everything Doc McStuffins and designed this really fun wreath (as photographed by Francis Iacuzzi and seen on People.com)

It’s one of my favorite wreaths and recently I made a pair of ribbon topiaries with pops of hot pink to coordinate the Doc wreath.

They are so cute! I want to make ribbon topiaries to fill up my house or at least as a centerpieces for every party.
