Michael’s now has {Fabric}!

January 22, 2011 By Stacy 12 Comments

In case you didn’t have reason to clip those 40% weekly coupons before, Michael’s is now carrying fabric. But it true Michael’s fashion, it ain’t cheap!
They have an entire aisle dedicated to fabric (mine was back by the limited sewing supplies and yarn). One half of the aisle has pre-cut kits and some “cheaper” fabric while the other side of the aisle was dedicated to their line of fabrics. Available in 2 yard bolts ($19.99), 1 yard cuts ($10.99), 2 – 1/2 yard bundles of coordinating fabrics ($10.99 I think), fat quarter bundles & charm packs, too. So without the coupons it’s very pricey!! Here are a couple pictures I took with my camera phone today.

Hancock has some of the vary SAME fabrics. Not sure how much cheaper they are or would be. Some of theirs is pretty pricey too. I will have to check it out though.

I haven’t been to Michael’s in a while. I wonder if ours is carrying fabric too. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll have to check it out!

That fabric is some wonderful eye candy. Makes me want to sew something!! I stopped by from Serenity Now (I know the rules only said visit the one above you, but I’m a rebel that way. Actually you were among the first four, so its easy to make a few more stops!) BTW I LOVE the bulletin board craft night! I may have to do that myself!

    Hi Stacy,
I’m hopping over from Amanda’s this morning. Nice to meet another blogger in the Charlotte area!
I’ve just spent a few minutes olooking through the posts that came up on the first page and I am LOVING it all! I can’t wait to check out more. I don’t consider myself to be very crafty (but I sure wish I was!). I love seeing all of the neat stuff you talented ladies come up with and love that you share it with us.
I haven’t been in Micheal’s lately so I’ll have to check it out. You photos of all that pretty fabric makes me want to get creative. And I love that first photo of the CUTE tote…I think that is definitely a project in my future.
Hope you’ll take a minute to stop by sometime. I’m off to check out more of your neat stuff.
    Til Next Time,
    Jenn

I’m hopping over from Amanda’s also. I so admire you craft bloggers. I am energy deprived and can’t seem to find the energy to even comb my hair. I’m hoping that I can glean some energy from you! Thanks for sharing your talents!

Hi, I am over from Amanda’s and saw this post and can’t believe Michael’s is carrying fabric! I wonder if it just a tester on the east coast, I live on the west coast so I am going to check it out next time I am over in that area. Can’t wait to read more fun stuff on your blog!

Thanks for the tip! I wonder if they’re trying to compete with JoAnn Fabric and Hobby Lobby. They have some pretty patterns, but you’re right–they look pricey. Thanks so much for joining my “Bliss-at-Home” project. 🙂 Hope you’ll stop by Serenity Now again soon!

I was just at Michaels yesterday. I had a gift card from my brother and SIL. I decided yesterday that I just don’t like Michaels. They are expensive and they rarely have good sales. Though they do have the coupons every once in awhile. And I just don’t think they have a good selection. Those fabrics are pretty though.

Funny I found this post today. Yesterday I received my weekly Michaels Coupon and thought about using it at Joann’s Fabric but then in the same thought I was wondering when Michaels would start to carry fabric since Joann’s carries craft supplies. I am lucky to have both stores close by but now I am wondering if they are just going to turn into one big store rather then the two.
