Something {Old}, Nothing New!!!

May 2, 2011 By Stacy 4 Comments

I have hit a creativity slump. Baby P’s birthday party kinda wore me out. So while I was going through old photos this weekend I decided that I would share with you some of my DIY wedding from 4.5 years ago (gasp! where has the time gone)!! Wedding plan was a lot of fun for me – I would do it again in a heartbeat (with the same handsome man) if money was no issue! Maybe in 5 years I’ll plan a vow renewal just so we can have another large party! Anyway here are some of the DIY details from the big day! I also want to point out that when I was planning this wedding brown & blue wasn’t very popular and hard to find…3 months later it was EVERYWHERE, darn timing.
(please forgive the quality of most of the photos…these were from the good ol’ fashion point and shoot days!)

DIY invitations (did I take a picture of the front…no) – supplies from Paper Source

DIY Programs (I bought the monogram from someone but I can’t remember)

Out of Town Guest treat box given out at the Rehearsal Dinner (Everyone was from out of town, even my hubs & I!)

Blinged out DIY wooden letters for cake table – letters from Craft Cuts, bling from Artbeads

Ring bearer pillow and flower girl bucket

That’s right- 2 cutie ring bearers and 2 cutie flower girls!

Pens for signing the guest advice cards – DIY Flower kit from Paper Source

Vinyl decaled mailbox on the gift table for holding cards – I still have this somewhere, I thought it was genius

DIY Menu card, escort card, and personalized M&M favor

I even did my own flowers for the wedding! Callas from Pacific Callas, square vases from someone on EBay

Another photo of the Callas and one of my DIY Table Names

My DIY Save the Date

So there you have it – those were my {kinda} crafty DIY wedding elements. There is SO much more that I would do now, but I was and still am very happy about how our wedding turned out!

Stacy I will join you in the creative slump, maybe it’s that time of year but nothing wants to jump into my head. Oh well we can’t always be making great stuff – maybe a trip to the thrift store tomorrow will help. Good luck. PS – Your wedding goods were perfect, not too overdone and still looked professional.
