Kids Crafty {Stash} Gift Idea

November 19, 2012 By Stacy 8 Comments

Admit it, buying gifts for children that are of an age you are unfamiliar with can be a challenge. Well if you aren’t going to admit it, I will. I have no idea what’s popular to an age set that isn’t living in my house, I just don’t have to keep up with it all anymore. So here, I am offering you a great solution, so you can still look cool, yet not have to watch hours of Nickelodeon commercials to try & figure it all out.

I made this fun, easy, and affordable Kid Craft Stash for my friend’s daughter. She loves spending time crafting {a child after my own heart} and we’ll just say that her mom is just now getting into it with a little friendly shove from me. 😉

I started out with a little bead organizer that I bought long ago at the Hob Lob. Then I poured through my 1 or 2 {or 8} boxes of random craft supplies and filled that sucker up!

I added beads to make a fun necklace (and the wire with a clasp pre-clamped on to string the beads on), foam stickers, ribbon, alligator clips to make hair bows, twine, glue dots, metallic pipe cleaners, glitter star tape, chipboard letters to spell out her name, stickers, and to top it all off a brand new bottle of Martha Stewart GLITTER paint in purple!!

I can hear the squealing already {although that might just be coming from me}!!
To make the STASH more personal I cut out some scrapbook paper in the shape of the box’s inlay using a little ribbon to hide the seam and added some vinyl letters I cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

I hope that little Sydney has hours of fun crafting with her new stash and that she can get her mom to replenish it as materials diminish! Tomorrow I am going to be sharing where I will be buying supplies for my own Craft Stash!!!
