Crafty in the Kitchen | Pillsbury Grands Pizza Bake

September 19, 2013 By Stacy 1 Comment

We have now survived about 3 weeks of kindergarten, gymnastics, and dance. Surviving is about the correct description of how we are fairing, too. It’s been a tough 3 weeks trying to figure out buses, packing lunches, doing homework, taking baths, and when to go to bed. There doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day, especially for eating. We’ve had to buy lunch a couple times at school because I wasn’t prepared for lunch and we’ve probably eaten out for dinner more than I would care to share!
If any of this sounds familiar and you’re looking for a way to get dinner on the table quickly with minimal ingredients I have a recipe for you! A Pepperoni Pizza Bake using Grands!® Biscuits.

When I was searching Pillsbury’s Easy Meal Recipes on their website I couldn’t believe that I had never thought to use the biscuits in any other way than as biscuits. I mean, we eat a lot of biscuits, we are Southerns after all 😉 So when I came across this recipe for Grands!® Pepperoni Pizza Bake I was intrigued. We love biscuits, we love pizza, so how could I go wrong? Plus, I already stock all of these ingredients, BONUS!

Ingredients: (the full recipe and instructions can be found here)

  • Grands! Homestyle Biscuits
  • Pizza Sauce (I made my own!!!)
  • Finely shredded cheese
  • Turkey Pepperoni (you can use regular)
Preheat the oven to 375 and spray a 9×13 casserole dish with baking spray.

Slice each biscuit into 8 pieces and then throw them in a bowl with the pizza sauce and half the cheese.

Place the biscuit and sauce mix in the casserole dish, sprinkle with the pepperoni and the remainder of the cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes (that’s less time than it takes for the pizza man to come!) and serve.

Yup, it’s as good as it looks, probably even better. If you don’t want to take my word you can just look at my plate.
