Did You {Brush} Your Teeth?!?

May 7, 2011 By Stacy 23 Comments

That is the question that I am constantly asking my 3 year old! Since we have had really good luck getting her motivated by charts and treasure box prizes, I thought I’d make up a tooth brush chart for her. If she can fill out the whole chart for the week she gets a treat or prize.  I bought an under $3 table top frame at Wally World, primed it, painted it the Restoration Hardware color that coordinates with our bathroom (which, after photographing, I realize needs a lot of decor help) and popped in the chart I printed off the old Canon (designed using graphics from Lettering Delights). I haven’t decided if I really am sold on the print yet, once I am, I will pay the $2 to have an 8×10 printed off so the colors are more vivid.  But until then, here it is, along with some pictures of the girls’ bathroom that needs some serious TLC and maybe a redo except for the fact I paid so much for the stuff in there that I don’t know if I could justify getting a whole new bathroom set. {sigh}

***UPDATE – even though I only posted this an hour ago I just made a new chart that I think I like better, what do you think??? If you download the chart please be kind and leave me some comment love!***

Original – you should be able to download by right clicking – personal use only!!!

New – also just right click – personal use only!!
Boy Friendlier option – for personal use only!

    Hi I am also a new follower and I’m loving your blog! Quick question: where did you get the font that you used on the first chart? I have seen it everywhere and love it but I can’t seem to find it anywhere!

    Stacy, I admire your commitment to polka dots. Also, this is hella cute. Of course, for our tribe I would need a wall of them…

    And: Budmo Jiggler is a funny name for anything. If we ever get another dog, I’m going to browse Dafont to name it. Or maybe I’ll just name it Budmo Jiggler…

    That is a great idea. I am using the sticker chart for tooth brushing and potty training. It is kinda working. Although, I will go in there in the evening and see that she has found the stickers and totally “loaded up” my chart. this is a super cute idea. Also, she is my firstborn so I catch myself saving the chart and putting in her babybook. I don’t know why I am saving it, it is all LIES!! LIES!!! =) this way, no clutter!

    Hey! I just started a linky party last week called “20 minute tuesdays”. It was a great “party” with more than 50 links!
    Projects that cost less than $10 and take less than 20-30 mins (ish) are invited and I think this project would be a great addition to the party this week!
    Would you consider coming over?

    Those charts are so cute! I need to come up with a multiple-child chart that will go nicely in our bathroom. I think that would really help with tooth brushing independence in our house… which is something we’ve been working on. I’ve also found some helpful tips on this Mom’s Guide: http://www.1dental.com/moms-guide/. Thanks for sharing your cute charts. Such a good idea… and I love that they are “reusable” each week!

    Great idea! Our dental office loves what you’ve created. As a parent, you’ve really hit the nail on the head with this crafty idea. You need to motivate & encourage your kids to brush. The brush chart acts as a great tool to create good daily habits for your little ones. In fact, we’ve shared your site on our Facebook page to get the word out! Job well done!!
