Did You {Brush} Your Teeth? take 2

September 7, 2011 By Stacy 31 Comments

I received great response to the original Did You Brush Your Teeth post, so when I redecorated my daughters’ bathroom and made a new chart to match, I thought I would share it with you!
But before I give you the goods you are going to have to suffer through the photos of the redecorated bathroom. You gotta work a little for this one 🙂

This is the before. Very cute stuff from RH Baby & Child, but kinda boring.

You can find the post about the heat transfer on canvas here.
I got the shower curtain and towels from Pottery Barn Outlet and I spruced up a Target step stool with some vinyl to make it a little more fun.

Get it? Star fish for stars at night time…
See, it really works!!
You can download the charts for yourself – click HERE for the girls’ version seen above and HERE for a boy/neutral version.

Embedding the habit of good oral hygiene to your kids should be fun like this. In this way they will always look forward in brushing and flossing their teeth.

I agree. Parents should make these mental hygiene activities as fun as possible so that the kids will be motivated to do them automatically.

It is a good idea to create a very compelling dental chart. This will compel and encourage these little children to brush their teeth and clean their mouth. This is actually one of the best methods to support dental hygiene for the children.

Regular dentist visits can do more than keep your smile attractive they can tell dentists a lot about your overall health, including whether or not you may be developing a disease. It is very important that we educate our children as early as possible about the benefits of a healthy dental care.

It is also very important for the parents to serve as a role model. This will encourage their children to be responsible in maintaining a good and proper oral hygiene. dc cosmetic dentist

Many parents have a tough time judging how much dental care their kids need. They know they want to prevent cavities, but they don’t always know the best way to do so. Teaching them the good habit of brushing may go along way in protecting your kid’s dental health.

Sometimes I find it hard to convince my kids to brush their teeth. So what I do is to remove my dentures and tell them that this will happen to their teeth if they don’t brush.

One of the hardest thing for me as a parent is to convince my kids to brush their teeth. Educating them about the benefits of good oral hygiene is what I do every single day.

My wife and I have started the ritual of having our 1 year old son brush our teeth first before we brush his. We guide him to where we want our teeth brushed so that he’ll know what to expect when it’s his turn. That and a yummy natural toothpaste helps as well. Hope this works for you too.

I agree. Parents play an important role in maintaining good oral hygiene among their children. It is essential for them to compel the children about tooth brushing and dental care. A chart will surely help. However, you need to make a chart that is enticing.

Educate your children as early as possible about the importance of having a good oral hygiene to prevent trauma in going to the dentist. Inform them about the health benefits of brushing their teeth regularly.

Convincing your children when it comes to brushing their teeth can be a little bit hard since they can be to stubborn, but as long as parents knows how to do it and how to explain the importance of oral hygiene to their kids would make things easier.

Hi! I know this post is a couple years old, but crossing my fingers for a reply!
I was wondering what kind of vinyl you used on the step stool. I just finished spray painting my daughter’s, but she’s 3, so her mind/likes change like every other month. She was into blue hardcore for a solid year and suddenly switched it up to pink. So now her stool is blue and I want to add pink polka dot vinyl. Thanks in advance!

Hi Sondra, I used indoor matte vinyl and it came off within 6 months. I would try 651, outdoor vinyl so it holds up better for you. Good luck!
