Apron + Crayon Rollup = {FUN APRON}

November 16, 2010 By Stacy 8 Comments

I’ve been telling myself for at least a month now that I was going to buy some fabric to make a couple crayon roll ups to make as stocking stuffers. Has that happened yet? Of course it hasn’t! I’ve been making ribbon wreaths and onsie dresses and aprons. Well when I was (pretending to) cleaning up my fabric cutting station, aka the dinning room table, on Saturday it hit me, use a fat quarter to make an Apron that is also a crayon holder. Now, I know this is nothing new, I am sure if you went on Etsy you could find dozens, but I wanted to figure it out on my own, no tutorials, no DIY’s, just me and my whole 3 months of sewing knowledge!
So here is how it turned out. It’s not stellar but I ended up learning A LOT by doing it myself and I think my next one will be all the better for doing it myself. I am even thinking about doing a tutorial on it, just to see if I can!

    Thank you for the ideas for the crayon apron, book pillow etc., I love stitching with my grandchildren and they will love these.
