Halloween Week: {Day 2} | I-Spy

October 9, 2012 By Stacy 6 Comments

I am back for day 2 of Halloween week 2012! Check out day 1 if you are just joining in the fun!
Today I am going to share with you another holiday themed I-Spy game that your little ones will love!

Last Christmas I wrote about a holiday themed I-Spy bottle that I made for my daughter. A couple times a week I can hear her, up in her room, playing with her Christmas I-Spy so I decided that it might be a good time to make her a new one.

I decided to go with a smaller water bottle this time, just for a little variety. I found the plastic VOSS water bottle at my local Harris Teeter, so if you are looking for them try going to whatever the nicest {priciest) grocery store in your area. Please make sure you buy the PLASTIC bottles for this and not the glass ones! The poly beads can be found at any fabric store or Walmart (got these at a Wally that doesn’t carry fabric, it’s with the pillow forms & batting). The Halloween themed buttons were found at my Hobby Lobby but I also recently picked some up at JoAnn’s. You will also need hot glue & gun and either ribbon or washi tape if you’d like.

Drink your water {I like mine with a little Mio mixed in} and then wash and dry your bottle completely. Also take off the labels using Goo Gone if necessary. Fill about 1/4 way with poly beads and pop in a couple buttons.

Fill up the bottle some more, pop in more buttons.

Fill the bottle up with poly beads leaving some room to be able to shake the beads around to find all the goodies hidden within.

Heat up your hot glue gun and cover the threads in the cap with glue before tightening the cap on to the bottle. Make sure you let your glue dry before turning the bottle upside down. I added a little washi tape to hide the seem in between the cap & bottle and to add a little pizzazz to it all.

Give it to your little bitty and watch the fun begin!
Come back tomorrow for Day 3 of Halloween Week 2012!!
