Easy Peasy Breezy Cards in 3 Simple Steps

October 11, 2012 By Stacy 1 Comment

I interrupt Halloween Week 2012 to bring you the best and easiest card making system. Ever.
No, really! I don’t think there is a more comprehensive yet simple & gorgeous system out there for making handmade cards.
Does knowing that the card line is from the fabulous David Tutera help you believe me?? {yes, the same David Tutera from My Fair Wedding!!!}

Before I was married I was into scrapbooking, but I gave that up while I was planning my wedding. After the wedding I realized that I had all these extra paper supplies sitting around so I decided to make handmade cards. Well, let’s just say that didn’t last long because each card was taking so long to complete. You had to come up with a concept, find all kinds of different papers, stickers, cut them all down to size…just thinking about it makes me tired. So when I heard about Core’dinations new card making system called David Tutera Celebrate (available at JoAnn’s – I just saw the whole line there on Saturday!) I was intrigued. He has found a way to take all the time consuming parts out of the process and leave you to craft beautifully handmade cards in 3 simple steps!
The packages at the store are categorized for you.
Step 1 – card bases (with matching envelopes)

Step 2 – Layers

Step 3 – Embellishments

For my first card these are the pieces I picked out

1) I added a little washi tape to my base card.

2) I used some double-sided adhesive to attach my layer on top of my washi-taped base card

3) I glue dotted my embellishments in place on top of the layer that I had glues on top of my washi-taped up card base!

I made this card for my husband’s birthday (in about 5 minutes flat) and when he took it out of the envelope he actually commented on how nice the card was and said, “You made this!?!”. When your husband even notices the card you know it’s a good one!
The cards were so easy to make I whipped up a couple more while I was at it.

But wait!! It gets even better.

Three lucky winners will receive a $300 grand prize pack of supplies from
