Table Worthy {Wipes}

July 30, 2012 By Stacy 1 Comment

I have two children so it comes as no surprise that meal times are messy at our house. My youngest is 27 months and while she is pretty good at using utensils towards the end of the meal she likes to get in there and use her hands, even if she’s eating grits. So last time I was at Target I picked up a container of Up & Up wipes so that we weren’t constantly having to send someone to the changing table to get wipes at the end of every meal. The crafter inside of me thought there had to be a way to make these wipes easier on the eyes since I wanted to keep them on or close to our kitchen table, so I got to work covering the container in beautiful scrapbook paper with a bit of washi tape embellishment!
Here are the easy steps you can do to recreate this look!

Here are the wipes I bought

 Measure the area you want to cover and cut out your paper accordingly

 Apply a line of adhesive to either the container or the edge of you paper.

 Wrap the paper around the container and complete with another line of double sided tape.

 Measure the diameter of the lid.

 Punch out a piece of matching or coordinating paper (luckily the lid was 2.5″ which is the same size of a punch I already own)

 Put double sides tape all over the back of the circle and apply to the lid smoothing out and wrinkles that happen due to the concave-ness of the lid (really press it in good starting from the center).

 After I was done I felt like it needed just a little something more to make it complete, so I dug through my washi tape supply and added a couple strips to the container.

 And there you have it! A container of wipes that you can leave out on the table even if guests are stopping by!

    This is the chicest container of wipes I’ve ever seen! :) I love your double sided tape dispenser, by the way. It’s like a crafty power tool!
