Heat Transfer + Stretched Canvas = AWESOME!
I would have never thought to iron heat transfer onto canvas if it weren't for this
unrelated tutorial on Silhouette's Blog. I kinda put it in my mental file box and went along with my day after I had read about it. Then, Saturday, I took the girls to an impromptu trip to Pottery Barn Outlet and I bought new a new shower curtain, towels, trash can, & bath rug for the girls' bathroom. The towels have a cute surf board pattern and the shower curtain has pink, blue, and green stripes (the
Parker Shower Curtain). Yesterday while daydreaming what kind of artwork I wanted for the bathroom I pulled that Silhouette Tutorial out my mental file cabinet and had a light bulb moment! I would make my own artwork!!! The first one was a little touch and go - I am not a huge fan of it and if heat transfer wasn't so dang pricey I would redo it. The 2nd one, however, I am truly, madly, deeply in love with!! I used my Silhouette to cut out all the heat transfer to iron on. The pale pink color is flocked while the other colors are smooth.

Those are adorable! I need to figure out if I can use the heat transfer stuff with my cricut! Something like that would be adorable in my boys playroom!
