Craft {Stash} Tutorial and Giveaway

December 13, 2012 By Stacy 57 Comments

A couple weeks ago I shared with you a wonderful children’s gift – the Kids Crafty Stash. Well, today I am back to share with you the adult version – how to make it AND your chance to win this one!

I started this one out with a different container that I picked up from Consumer Crafts on Cyber Monday. It’s compartments are larger which opens up a world of craft item possibilities.
(ps, I noticed that Consumer Crafts is having 20% off site wide through today, 12/13/12, and $1.97 shipping when you spend $25)

Since I wanted to add a pretty cover to my container I made myself a template. Simple take a piece of regular printer paper, or whatever you have lying around, and using a pencil “trace” over the indentation on the lid. Then, cut that out and use it to trace around your scrapbook paper, or wrapping paper, what ever it is that you want to use to make a pretty cover!

I used a permanent double-sided scrapbook adhesive to stick my scrapbook paper on to the lid. After that just go ahead and fill up the containers with all your favorite little embellishments and craft items! I used some wooden cloth pins to wrap ribbon around. Wooden ice cream tasting spoons were used as the twine holders. Mini wooden spools are perfect to hold washi tape. I also included some brads, glittery button stickers that can be used to make magnets (also included are the magnets), Martha Stewart glitter, my favorite color blue paint, wintery rhinestone stickers, buttons, clothespins, velcro dots, and some safety pins!

There is a lot of fun to be had in this craft stash! And you can win this very one!! Details below!!

This giveaway is open to residents of the United States, 18 years and older.

I love this idea! It’s great for my semi-crafty, or crafty beginner friends. Thanks for sharing!

I tend to hoard most craft supplies, paper, punches, stamps, ink, paint. Most of all I would have to say ribbon, then I hate using it because then what if I find a better use for it later. Crazy, I know! Thanks so much for the chance to win!
